File party rules with the Office of Elections (HRS §11-63)

Deadline to file party objections :

File political party objections with the Office of Elections (HRS §11-62)
The deadline is not later than the twentieth business day after the petition is filed. As such, the deadline may be earlier depending on when the group filed its petition.

Deadline to submit precinct officials :
Apr 6 @ 4:30 pm
Submit names of precinct officials to the Office of Elections (HRS §11-72)

Deadline to file party officers
May 12 @ 4:30 pm
File party officers with the Office of Elections (HRS §11-64)

File written objections to nomination paper for the Primary Election with the Office of Elections or Clerk’s Office (HRS §12-8)

Deadline to withdraw candidacy for ill health

Submit request to withdraw from the Primary Election for reasons of ill health to the Office of Elections or Clerk’s Office (HRS §11-117)

Deadline to mail ballots to overseas voters

Mail Primary Election ballots to overseas voters (52 USC§20302 & HRS §15D-9)

Voter registration deadline
Jul 12 all-day
Last day to register to vote for the Primary Election with the Clerk’s Office (HRS §11-24). Voters are eligible for late registration for the Primary Election at either an early walk-in voting location or an election day polling place (HRS §§11-15.2 & 15-7)
Applications must be postmarked to your Clerk’s Office by July 12, 2018.
