Final Registers of Electors :

The final registers of electors for 2017 were published on July 25.

A total of 3 805 069 electors are carried in the newly issued final register for the geographical constituencies.

The distribution of electors for the five geographical constituencies is as follows:

The final register for the District Council (second) functional constituency contains 3 506 275 electors. For the functional constituencies (other than the District Council (second) functional constituency), 236 859 electors are listed in the final register.

The final register for the Election Committee subsectors contains 243 638 voters. Statistical information about these final registers is available on the voter registration website (voterregistration.gov.hk).

A full set of the final registers for geographical constituencies and the District Council (second) functional constituency are available for inspection during ordinary business hours (9am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 6pm) from Monday to Friday at the office of the Registration and Electoral Office (REO) on 10/F, Harbour Centre, 25 Harbour Road, Wan Chai.

The relevant section of the register pertinent to a particular district is also available for public inspection at the respective Home Affairs Enquiry Centre during its office hours.

For functional constituencies (other than the District Council (second) functional constituency) and Election Committee subsectors, full copies of the final registers are available for public inspection at the REO’s office at Harbour Centre and its office on 13/F, Kowloonbay International Trade & Exhibition Centre, 1 Trademart Drive, Kowloon Bay, and the Home Affairs Enquiry Centres in Central, Mong Kok, Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Sha Tin.

Registered electors may log in to the REO’s Online Voter Information Enquiry System (voterinfo.gov.hk), or call the enquiry hotline on 2891 1001, to check their own registration status and particulars.

Geographical Constituency Electors :
Who may register? :
Any Hong Kong permanent resident aged 18 and above who ordinarily resides in Hong Kong is eligible to sign up as an elector.

Submission of application form :
After completing and signing the voter registration form, you may submit the form to the Registration and Electoral Office by the following means

** by post (Address: 10th Floor, Harbour Centre, 25 Harbour Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong or 13/F, Kowloonbay International Trade & Exhibition Centre, 1 Trademart Drive, Kowloon Bay, Kowloon) ; or

** by fax (fax number: 2891 1180) ; or
** by scanning the form and email it (email address: form@reo.gov.hk).

Electronic submission of application :
Applicant may also register using the electronic form(open in new window) and upload the completed form to the Registration and Electoral Office ; or

If applicant is holding a valid personal digital certificate, he/she may register online via the GovHK website, gov.hk (open in new window).

If your form reaches us by 2 July (for DC Election Year) or 2 May (for non DC Election Year), your registration records may be included in the final register of electors, which is published on or before 25 September (for DC Election Year) or 25 July (for non DC Election Year) every year.

Notes :
1. Under the law, you are required to provide true and accurate information when completing the voter registration form.

2. You are encouraged to provide or update your email address on a voluntary basis. The email address will be provided to the candidates concerned for the purpose of sending election advertisements.

3. If you do not wish to receive election advertisements sent by candidates, please call 2891 1001 to update your records. Your preference will be conveyed to the candidates at the elections
