Hong Kong Provision / Updating of E-mail Addresses
Please read the following guidance notes before completing this form:
1) This platform is to facilitate registered electors to provide/update their e-mail addresses with the Registration and Electoral Office.

The e-mail addresses will be provided to the candidates of the constituencies concerned for the purpose of sending election advertisement. The candidates may choose to send election advertisement via e-mail in lieu of hardcopy. Please fill in your Hong Kong identity card number, Chinese or English full name (as shown on your Hong Kong identity card), e-mail address and contact telephone number.
The Registration and Electoral Office may not be able to process your application if the name provided by you is not identical to the name shown on your Hong Kong identity card.
2) The Registration and Electoral Office will provide the candidates at an election with the most updated database of electors’ e-mail addresses. If your application has been accepted 60 days before the polling date of large-scale elections, the Registration and Electoral Office will provide your e-mail address to the candidates of the geographical/functional constituencies or subsectors concerned for the purpose of sending election advertisement.
3) Please note that you can only make use of this platform to provide/update your e-mail address. If you wish to update your electoral particulars such as your residential address, telephone and fax numbers, or if you are not yet a registered elector and wish to apply for registration, please send in a completed voter registration form (REO-1) by post (13/F, Kowloonbay International Trade & Exhibition Centre, 1 Trademart Drive, Kowloon Bay, Hong Kong) or by fax (2891 1180).
Or if you have a valid digital certificate issued by a reconized certification authority, you can also make an application for voter registration or updating of electoral particulars on-line via the GovHK website in accordance with the existing electoral regulations. What authentication methods do GovHK online services use? :
Different GovHK online services may apply different authentication methods as appropriate for the levels of security required by their transactions with the users.
Possible authentication methods include :
** user ID and password;
** digital certificate stored on a floppy disk, hard disk or USB flash drive, whereby user will be required to enter a password and specify where the certificate is stored; or
** the Hongkong Post e-Cert stored on a smart identity card, whereby the system may prompt for the e-Cert password during the authentication process.
