The State Board of Elections and the County Clerk’s office were supplied with the information provided on this page by you, the voter. If the information appears to be incorrect or there is an error, please visit GoVoteKY.com to update your registration OR contact your County Clerk.
Vote in Honor of a Veteran :
Kentucky is home to more than 350,000 veterans. These men and women have made tremendous sacrifices to protect the right to vote, and Kentuckians can show their respect and appreciation by Voting in Honor of a Veteran each time they head to the polls.
You can request a Vote in Honor of a Veteran button from your county clerk; you can also request a button and/or leave a tribute to a veteran whom you would like to honor online. The button can be personalized to reflect the name of the veteran in whose honor your vote is being cast.
Military Matters :
In September 2012, Secretary Grimes traveled to the Middle East to assess military voting procedures and meet with Kentuckians who are serving abroad. Upon her return, she made recommendations to the Kentucky General Assembly for ensuring that Kentuckians who risk their lives on the battlefield have their voices heard at the ballot box.
Becoming a Candidate :
Filing forms for offices that file with the Secretary of State and sample forms for offices that file with county clerks are accessible online. Please review the election schedule to determine when the office for which you are interested in running will be on the ballot and the election calendar to make sure you do not miss any applicable deadlines.

Address Confidentiality Program :
Kentucky courts issue tens of thousands of domestic violence and emergency protective orders every year. And according to the CDC’s National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey, as of 2010, nearly half of all Kentucky women and 1 in 5 Kentucky men have experienced sexual violence.
Secretary Grimes believes that no eligible voter should be discouraged from voting out of fear for his or her safety, or the safety of his or her children. But because voter records are generally available to the public, many victims do not register to vote because they fear the perpetrators of the crimes against them would be able to determine their addresses, compromising their security.
Now, thanks to the Address Confidentiality Program (ACP), these individuals no longer have to make the impossible choice between their safety and exercising the fundamental right to vote.
