Elections of Yerevan Avagani :
Representatives of foreign media, who would like to cover the elections of Yerevan Avagani (Assembly of Aldermen) to be held on May 14, 2017,

in order to receive an accreditation in the Central Election Commission of Armenia should apply for a prior accreditation to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia (short-term accreditation) until April 28, 2017.
After receiving the application the Ministry, following the internal procedures, will forward it for accreditation to the Central Electoral Commission of Armenia.
The rules of application for a short-term accreditation are available on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Please note that the required letter from the editor should include all the following information :
** (in case of a juristic/legal person) the full name of the media outlet and its legal form and organisational type, headquarter address;
** (in case of natural person) first, middle (if indicated in passport or ID) and last name, place of residence;
** the name of the media product;
** e-mail address and phone number;
** in case of licensed surface broadcasting media information on the starting date of release of the media product (please, note that in this case the media product should be released at least for a year to receive an accreditation);
** name of elections to be covered and the voting date;
** note on the attached documents;
** date of application;
** applicant’s signature.
Please, be informed that in case of intention to use special photo and video recording equipment (e.g. UAV) it should be also mentioned in the letter as well as technical description of equipment.
Once the accreditation is confirmed by the Central Electoral Commission of Armenia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will provide the accreditation cards. The pick-up date will be indicated later.
Please, be advised that the applications received after the deadline indicated above will not be considered due to clear timetable for accreditation of foreign journalists presented by the Electoral Code of Armenia as well as relevant rules of procedure adopted by the Central Election Commission.
Foreign media representatives, who hold the MFA annual accreditation, need to send to press [AT] mfa.am email address their names and the name of the media outlet until April 28, 2017.
